2019 Kansas 811 Run Recap


More than 1,000 people braved the heat for the Kansas 811 Run on Sunday, August 11 in downtown Wichita.
2019 KS811 Race Start Many local utility companies joined in spreading the 811 message, with 23 sponsors donating to the race and sharing the importance of using the 811-notification system before all digging projects. Without the sponsors, the race could not go on and be such a huge success!

The Kansas 811 Run celebrates National 811 Day in Wichita, reminding everyone of the importance to always call 811 before starting any digging project. Because of the popularity of this year’s event, Kansas 811 donated $4,642.38 to the Laughing Feet Performers.

    Congratulations to the 2019 Most Spirited Sponsor:
    NuStar was awarded the Kansas 811 Run's Traveling Trophy for having outstanding involvment and participation before, during, and after the race.

    The run included food vendors Breezy's and B.S. Sandwich press, music from DJ Brent Hightower, inflatables and other kids’ attractions, as well as the Cox Utilities Hot Air Balloon. This year's race was a for local utilities companies, the public, and the message of calling 811 before you dig.
